Vehicle Tracking
WRMS has a Vehicle tracking system to optimise collections and help with specific events such as assisted lifts.
WRS are able to offer dynamic real-time vehicle tracking and communications. In addition to being presented with a central GIS presentation of the location of “one, many or all” vehicles, the system will also report on the current progress of the vehicle through its days schedule of work. Full history information is available to allow analysis and evaluation of route changes to optimise the fleets work load. Data is transmitted using GPRS a very cost effective real-time data transition medium.

By virtue of the real-time data communications channels a number of other functions are available including “hands free” voice communications, data communications including vehicle related actions (bin lifts, compacts, etc.), weight and information collected by handheld data collection terminals. The communications channel is bidirectional and may also be used to instruct the driver/loaders on specific actions for example “locations of assisted lifts” at appropriate time.
